Achievements
Between 2019 and 2026, the company completed over 40 well operations of precision managed pressure drilling services in PetroChina Southwest Oil & Gas Field Company and CNOOC regions. These operations achieved a maximum well depth of 8,200 meters with H2S concentrations reaching 100ppm. The technology effectively resolved complex downhole challenges in high-sulfur deep and ultra-deep wells—including lost circulation, simultaneous lost circulation and blowout caused by narrow density windows—providing robust technical support for sulfur-bearing reservoir development in the Sichuan-Chongqing region. Key benefits included enhanced drilling efficiency, reduced operational risks, and improved safety in hydrogen sulfide environments.

The designed depth of this well is 23877.95 feet, and the drilling operations were executed by CNPC Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company Limited Chuandong Drilling Company, Drilling Team 70596.

The precise MPD operation team and automatic choke and pressure control system equipment from Heminzenith Oil&Gas Engineering (China) Co., Ltd. arrived at the PS-20 Well on February 14, 2024, to provide wellhead pressure control technical services. From February 14, 2024 to July 21, 2024, the team successfully drilled from a depth of 7811.6798 ft to a total depth of 20711.9423 ft (with hydrogen sulfide present) using MPD technology. The drilling operations were executed by CNPC Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company Limited Chuandong Drilling Company, Drilling Team 80019.
